And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." Luke 21:24-27 Dearly Beloved: GREETINGS! - in the Name of our soon-coming King. Look to Palestine and to the Mid-East: look to Jacob's sons, and to the sons of Esau-Ishmael. THERE is the land wherein God wrought to inaugurate the era for a selected people: there are the peoples begotten by Abraham; there are the basic enmities, and there shall the lethal flame be lit! (In fact it has already been kindled!) You old-timers with me will recall how I have previously written about the prophecy in Revelation 14:20: "And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand, and six hundred furlongs...." But as I perpetually keep reminding you, we cannot give complete treatment to the word of God in a paragraph, nor even on a page. Newcomers to the membership, and strangers, are advised to bear in mind that in my teachings I show how the "horse bridles" refers to that world organization now known as the United Nations. Although the 1600 furlongs is a measure on land, reaching from Jerusalem to the Suez Canal, it can also be conformed to a measure of TIME; for, in the final analysis, time and distance become ONE. Friends, students and my closer followers, are well aware how I forecast in a magazine article (the same being published in a copyrighted book about two years later), that April 6, 1967 would be the last day of `peace' for the world at that time. During the following decades I perpetually trumpeted: don't worry about Berlin, neither worry about Korea, nor other `hot-spots' from time to time, but keep your attention focused on Palestine and its adjacent territory, throughout the Sinai peninsula and even to the Suez Canal: THERE keep your gaze riveted; THERE is where the prophetic word of God has declared that the lethal flame shall light; THERE too He has declared that all the nations of the world shall be drawn - into the final combat of the ages: that He may sit to JUDGE the nations there (Joel 3:9-12). Surely, every reader is aware (or can verify by the daily press under dates of April 7-8/67) that April 7, 1967 saw the breaking out of the fiercest hostilities between the little State of Israel and her Arab neighbors. It was the first day following the "deadline date for world peace" that Israel locked in deadly battle with her neighbors. Israeli planes probed as far as Damascus in deadly dogfights. A sea of hatred was stirred into foaming fury: human animosities blazed to a new crescendo; the die was cast. You who are prone to be skeptical, tell me: just what are the chances that a full five years ahead of time, a person can predict the exact date, place and nature of world impending drama: developments that shall change the course of world history? Multiply the days in a year by 5, then multiply again by the number of nations and important places in the world; then will you approximate the odds against such a prediction fulfilling to the date and the place by the relentless march of events in this mad generation of ours. The Building Volcano... Between April 7th and June 6, 1967 brooded a smoldering quiet over the Mid-East. But underneath was a building volcano. Then unleashed that turbulent hatred, then flared the up-building passions - insidiously gathering throughout the last 4,000 years. The sons of Ishmael/Esau stood on one side with their unabated hatred pulsating, in eager anticipation of the showdown. Young and intrepid Israel on the other side - fearless, with their faith in the God of their fathers. The Arab world under the banner of the U.A.R., headed by Colonel Nasser, had looped the strangling noose to the neck of Israel. Ever since 1956 they had closed the Suez Canal to all Israel shipping (to and from); and then they BLOCKED the Strait of Tiran. With blistering hatred they declared that Israeli ships would not pass! The Gulf of Aqaba was dead to Israel: it was out of bounds! With sardonic hypocrisy the U.A.R.'s Nasser declared: "WE will not fire the first shot"!!! What nauseating perfidy! Force the father of a large family into a corner: hold a club over him and say: "I will not make the first move"! Will he stand still to starve and see his entire family go under?? But this is the age of evil machinations, of perfidy and hypocrisy unlimited. Who Fired the First Shot? On June 6, 1967 WHO fired the first shot? How utterly immaterial! Colonel Nasser's U.A.R. fired it long beforehand - on the day he closed the Gulf of Aqaba, and declared that Israeli shipping should not pass through the Strait of Tiran. Although we realize that it took a full two months from the day I forecast unto June 6th, when the 6-day battle-in-ferocity exploded, nevertheless they are inseparable. It was that violent counterattack by Israeli forces on April 7th which threw the gauntlet at the Arab's feet. THEN did they know that Israel had to be reckoned with: that they had to be conquered and vanquished - lest they grow too strong and thus disintegrate the totalitarian dreams of the U.A.R. During 8 feverish weeks did they strain every nerve and resource to arm for the final showdown. Relentlessly and with grim determination did they mock at world opinion; unabashed and with seething hatred did they voice their evil designs to exterminate Israel - without mercy, neither to pity women and children! With flamboyant unconcern did they voice to the world that their fighting forces stood at the ready, awaiting the political order to launch their final and lethal battle. As irrevocably as night follows day, so similarly must we link that six day battle - in ferocity with the lightning reprisal that the State of Israel launched against its neighbors on April 7, 1967: that epochal date I forecast more than five years in advance, pinpointing the exact locality and circumstances. The die was cast: world destiny hung in the balance! What was to become of the outcome? Kid not yourself that the Middle East is far away and of little concern to us: 'tis there that God has said He shall gather the nations of earth against Jerusalem (Zech. 12:2-3), that there He may sit to heap judgment upon them! He will issue a call to the ravenous beasts of the land and to all birds of prey in the heavens that they may gather themselves together to that banquet which God shall prepare for them: that there in Palestine they may eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the lords of the earth (Rev. 19:17-18)! Safely may you forget about other "hot-spots" and even local riots; for, 'tis in the land of His ancient people - `chosen' to KEY world drama - that He shall gather all peoples, that He may judge between the sheep and the goats. It shall be the camp of Israel with her allies on the one side, against the entire balance of the world. Tomorrow's News From the time of Abraham up to this day, Israel has had no aggressive designs, although repeatedly they have gone back into the land given their fathers by Almighty God. Neither now will they launch a war - unless forced upon them. And mark my word: NEVER again will Jewry be uprooted from Palestine! Though the unquenchable, seething fury of an Arab world declares they shall not live; though cultists with an inflated ego declares that modern Jewry is but usurpers of non-Israel stock and cannot last in Palestine, I state point-blank: they are the Israel seed of flesh; their era of chastisement has run its course (with but a short time remaining): in Palestine they shall remain in spite of all hell! Israel can NOT yield the territories taken!! Maybe in part - here and there, where she figures she can do so to advantage, or for bargaining. But bear in mind that God has declared He plans to muster ALL nations of heathendom against Jerusalem... (Zech. 14:2). Must they not have a reason? Israel's unwillingness to bow to UN dictates! (May God strengthen them: YES, He will!) Eventually the U.S.A., Canada and Britain will enter the conflict. THAT leads to the final conflict of the ages, with true Christendom in camp #1, against the entire world. That ruthless battle of extermination shall rage 643 days, sputtering another 2 to 3 days. | ||
